Broil King Steel Keg BKK4000 Charcoal Grill for Convection-Style Cooking

WOW! Just WOW!! This grill can't ruin any food unless you try to. I bought this grill February 2, 2012. I've cooked thick and thin steaks, burgers, dogs, brats, pork chops, chicken, and even pizza. The first burgers I grilled had to be drained before I put them on the table. I don't eat rare burgers so the juice wasn't blood. The grill just retains all the moisture of the food it cooks. You will save money on charcoal since you can cook a whole chicken with two cups of lump charcoal and still have charcoal leftover for your next cookout. The grill gets to temperature in about 15 minutes and is ready to cook in 20. When you close the vents the grill is so well insulated that it will hold the heat for HOURS. I've had the grill at over 800 degrees and have placed my hand on the outside surface without burning it. The trailer hitch is so unique to this grill and totally useful. I transport the grill every week to make pizza for about 10-20 of my friends(we've been doing this for about 10 years). I use to use an oven which would take a whole hour to heat up and take 15 minutes or so to cook each pizza. We wouldn't leave until about 9pm. Now with the Big Steel Keg, we're really late if we aren't finished and home by 8! This grill is so amazing that I'm trying to convince Tammy, my wife, to let me buy another one just as a spare in case the company goes out of business and I can't get parts!!!! The grill weighs about 150lbs but Tammy and I have zero problem lifting it onto the hitch.…

Landmann 590135 Black Dog 42XT BBQ Charcoal Grill and Smoker, 506-Square Inch, Black

I've had this smoker for about four years now. Mine is a slightly older model without the lower storage doors. It's been a great smoker, and it's a fantastic value in this size range. It's solidly built, and I haven't had any problems with it. The only criticism I have is that the built in thermometer doesn't seem to be all that accurate. I'd recommend using a digital probe thermometer instead. The vent doors make it easy enough to control the heat. I usually load the fire box with two Weber chimneys worth of Kingsford charcoal. Start with the fire box vent closed, and you'll get about 250F in the smoke chamber. As the coals begin to fade, open the vents to maintain the temp. I make a lot of ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and salmon. They all come out great. This unit works great as a grill too. The crank works well to adjust the height of the coals, which is a nice feature.

Bayou Classic Cypress Ceramic Grill With Cart

I never leave reviews but thought it might be useful in this case. I purchased this grill over a year ago for approx $699. At that time I compared to the Big Green Egg and Primo. The reviews at that time were mixed with several people noting that the quality of the Cypress was not in the same league as the Primo/BGE products. This is simply NOT THE CASE. Of the three brands, I felt like the Big Green Egg had a slightly better fit and finish with the Primo and Cypress being comparable. The ceramic on the Cypress seemed to be the thicker and heavier of the 3. I have experienced no cracking of the ceramic and my firebox is completely intact. I have completed 16 hour brisket cooks at 225 degrees without adding more charcoal. I have cooked steaks at greater than 750 degrees and this grill has held up nicely. I recommend this product 100%.

We installed this grill into our hardscape patio and absolutely love it. It is very well built and works even better. We grill all year long and this is the best grill I have cooked on. The adjustable height coal rack really helps you dial in the temperature. Well built, works great, and looks sweet!

Big Steel Keg 05503 Charcoal Grill for Convection-Style Cooking

I picked up one of these when it still had the proper name of the BUBBA-Q. It's a truly impressively engineered grill. Imagine what would happen if you asked a bunch of Georgia Tech students to redesign the charcoal grill and make it better. These guys nailed it...This converted me from being a propane griller for the last 20 years to charcoal. My guests and I have been really impressed by how well this works. For instance, I did an entire luau style feast in it the 2nd time I ever fired it up.I really like:- the evenness of temperature and how it holds the temp - twiddle with the dials and you can get it set anywhere. I even bake in it. Cornbread in a cast iron pan with some of the smoky flavor is incredible- it can get incredibly hot, and is great for making pizzas at 700+ degrees- the stacked racks are really handy and give you a lot of cooking space- side trays are a serious benefit- the charcoal burns quite completely and generates very little ash. I use the relatively inexpensive hardwood chunks sold at hardwareI did look at the ceramic style ones as well, and chose the Bubba for a couple reasons:- much less worried about knocking it over- bigger and more cooking space for the $$- something more fun about cooking on a keg than an egg

GrillPro 35050 Deluxe Stainless-Steel Spit Roaster and Charcoal Grill

I'd say the general idea on this grill/rotisserie combination is really great, but unfortunately, this item has a serious design flaw: The motor just overheats gradually until it stop completely. After an hour or so We have set up our 55 pounds pig, the motor stopped suddenly, so We had to remove the pig away from the heated charcoal and wait 45 minutes or so for the motor to cool down, and after that, We set up the pig back on the spit rod again and as it happened before, after 40 minutes or so, the beautiful motor stopped working again, so finally we decided to cook the poor pig on another way. We all agreed the overheating issue is due to the fact that the location of the motor is significantly close to the heat source.Honestly I do like the idea, but due to the aforesaid issue, I had to return the item back to the seller, other way I would have kept it and offered 5 stars in this review.I hope some day shortly the manufacturer can fix this problem and redesign the item in order to avoid the aforementioned issueThanks to the Amazon team for picking up my order back to the seller with no delay.Sincerely: Jose from Miami.Thanks.

Son Of Brisket Large Charcoal Grill

Got the 4f grill for my B-day and Love it. It is a solid heavy grill. has wheels on the bottom to move it around and lock it in place. Has a huge area for grilling and is completely rust free. The customer service is the best ever. Once again this is a 100% USA MADE. It took me months to find a grill made in the USA. I did not want anything made in China. I had been through 2 China made grills and was sick of them falling apart plus there was not customer service. You can tell that the builder took alot of pride building this grill. It is a great conversation piece. Once I started grilling on this heavy duty grill all the other grills I would see in Lowes or Home depot seemed so flimsy and breakable. It comes with a smoker compartment and has adjustable openings on the side and on the chimney. Also there is a slot that pulls out and you can dump your ashes in about 20 sec. I got 2 containers of herbs and a detailed direction manual that included a recipe in the back for ribs and rub. Because it is so heavy when the top closes and it keeps all the smoke and heat in. I have to use half the normal coals becaues it stays hot 450 degrees for atleast 3-4 hours withougt replenishing. I would hightly recommend getting the custom fit cover for it. It fits like a glove and is a nice tan faux leather color.Downside and yes there is only one downside is that the grate is not adjustable, but since it has such a large grilling surface you can easily do indirect grilling so that compinsates…

Bayou Classic Cypress Ceramic Grill

I got the grill at lowes for the same price as on amazon. It is a beautiful grill, and comes with all the additional items you would want (e.g stand, ash utensil, water dishpan, nice thick protective weather cover). Now, I got my grill and fired it up. Upon the second use the firebowl cracked (I have read this is quite common for all ceramic grills). Contacted Bayou Classic and they sent me a new one free of charge even though inside components of the grill are not covered under warantee. This was a nice gesture on their part. The problem was that the hot coals also fell onto the bottom of the grill cracking the lower case. This was a big problem, as the grill was still usable but damaged. I contacted them again, sent a photo and they shipped me a free new base that same week (again free shipping also). I tried JB Weld to seal the outside in the mean time, and I dont recommend this. It seemed to smoke when grill got to 500F, and I dont know what it off gasses but I imagine you dont want to eat it. I was a bit concerned about the toughness of this grill and how well it would hold up over time (considering I already had two issues). The guy at Bayou Classic told me that 3 to 4 needed to be returned for similar issues out of the 2000 they had sold, so that made me feel better. I got the bew base today, so hopefully it will be an easy replacement and last me for years to come. These grills have no problem running 600-650F. I have not gone above that, but imagine they would hit 700-750…

Fire Magic Built-In 30

This Fire Magic grill has a 30 x 18 cooking surface (not like most grill out there that claim the cooking area is the whole size of the grill when in fact it isn't). The total cooking area is approximately 540 square inches. It looks great on the backyard, the stainless adds that "summer" shining look outside. One of the great features is that you can easily add more charcoal while the grill is on, in case you need more charcoal. You don't have to remove grids or anything to add more fuel to the fire! This worked greatly and we are enjoying the product very much!

Medina River Outdoors 67 Jumbo Smoker/Grill Combo

I received the Madenia River Jumbo Smoker #67 the other day and assembled it in about two and a half hours. Except for the firebox and two of the legs, I assembled it by myself with relative ease. The installation instructions were very easy to follow and very through. The quality of the packaging materials was exceptional. The smoker arrived in terrific condition. I think some of the other reviewers issues with scratches / damages or materials either missing or loose in the shipping container may have been the result of poor handling by the shipping company and not the original manufacturer. Also, the quality of the construction materials used and the construction of the smoker itself seems to be very good. As a structural engineer, I am very impressed with the construction. I look forward to many years of quality use. This smoker / grill is constructed of MUCH MUCH better material than those sold at your local department stores or home improvement centers --- as you would expect for the additional expense. Again, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. BTW, I messed up the thermometer during installation and the Medina River folks sent me a replacement right away with no issues.

Weber 60020 The Ranch Charcoal Kettle Grill

I have had this product for over 2 years now and I love it. I have read other response about how difficult it is to clean. You are talking about a massive grill that sits in your yard get some degreaser and blast it with your hose. cleans up great. I have no problems with this grill. It is a must have for the true BBQue enthusiast. I use my for BBQ comp, I am able to have a fire on one side and cook passively. I took the charcoal grate out because of how close it keeps the coals, if you remove that one and put in a 22" grate for a standard weber and put it in the bottom it will keep your coals at a better distance and it is big enough so the 3 vents on the bottom can still breath. Love the lid design and the holder system that is made for it. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Fire Magic Charcoal Grills Lift-a-fire - Built In Large

First time use the paint melts off and sends all the nasty paint chemicals into the air chocking everyone and ruins the food. Then the unit rusted and the exterior paint bubbled up and started flaking off. Now it's useless and looks horrible in my new outdoor kitchen. I Contacted the manufacturer, RH Peterson who stated that they would stand behind their product and were concerned that this product must be defective since they never had this occur before. However, they said that I must contact the merchant that I purchased it from and they would work it out through them. I did and they sent me to their distributor who works directly with the manufacturer. Upon request, I sent all parties photos of the grill and was assured a resolution. I followed up monthly with no response for three months. Finally, I again contacted the manufacturer only to be told that this issue was closed and the distibutor should have contacted me. I was shocked when now they claim that it is completely normal for the paint to burn off because of the high temp! I expressed my complete dissatisfaction with this outcome for a $500 grill only to then be further insulted being told that this is their "Cheapest" grill and I should have considered the stainless steel version for $2,000.I would never have imagined that a $500 grill would be considered cheaping out! Outrageous. DO NOT BUY THIS GRILL!

Char-Broil CB940X Charcoal Grill

Just to be fair, my son uses the comparable charbroil which was bought in the late 50's. The ash tray had to be repaired but it is still in use. Another son bought the newer version of the 940 and I feel its still the best grill around. Expensive yes, the one bought in the 50's was #200.00 so I guess the new ones are in line. I guess my grandkids will be using the current one.Char-Broil CB940X Charcoal Grill
